Activities of NRI Department

• To maintain the information and data of NRIs belonging to Uttar Pradesh (NRIs/PIOs/OCIs)/ Emigration Approved Persons.
• To promote the investment from (NRIs/PIOs/OCIs) by provisioning a Single Window System.
• To prepare the policy of Government of Uttar Pradesh for NRIs/PIOs/OCIs/ Emigration Approved Persons and make amendments in various policies from time to time.  
• To prepare beneficial/welfare schemes for NRIs/PIOs/OCIs/ Emigration Approved Persons belonging to Uttar Pradesh.   
• To coordinate with the departments of GOI level like Home Ministry, MEA, Ministry of NRIs Works etc for NRIs/PIOs/OCIs/ Emigration Approved Persons belonging to Uttar Pradesh and execution of the concerned policies of Government of India. 
• To coordinate with the Indian embassies in various countries as well as embassies of different countries working in India for NRIs/PIOs/OCIs/ Emigration Approved Persons belonging to Uttar Pradesh  
• To coordinate with concerned organizations for NRIs/PIOs/OCIs/ Emigration Approved Persons belonging to Uttar Pradesh
• To organize Investor Summit every year for NRIs/PIOs/OCIs/ Emigration Approved Persons belonging to Uttar Pradesh.  
• To provide time to time training for NRIs/PIOs/OCIs/ Emigration Approved Persons belonging to Uttar Pradesh.
• To provide knowledge of welfare schemes Pradesh as well as the facilities available in Uttar Pradesh to NRIs/PIOs/OCIs/ Emigration Approved Persons belonging to Uttar Pradesh before they leave the country. 
• To establish a 24x7 Help Desk to assist the NRIs/PIOs/OCIs/ Emigration Approved Persons belonging to Uttar Pradesh.  
• To resolve the issues of NRIs quickly through the Help Desk.  
• To construct a website for use by NRIs/PIOs/OCIs/ Emigration Approved Persons belonging to Uttar Pradesh.
• To help out NRIs/PIOs/OCIs/ Emigration Approved Persons belonging to Uttar Pradesh in getting VISA/Immigration.   
• To quickly dispose-off the issues of NRIs/PIOs/OCIs/ Emigration Approved Persons belonging to Uttar Pradesh, related with the Revenue/Home/Labor departments etc.  
• To constitute the NRI Rural Infrastructural Development Fund and operate the scheme for NRIs/PIOs/OCIs/ Emigration Approved Persons belonging to Uttar Pradesh
• To provide information related with secure and legal immigration.
• To issue NRI Cards.
